About the Artist: Ira Wexler is an award-winning photographer based in Washington, D.C. His work is widely featured on the web and in print, and has been commissioned by a broad range of commercial clients including Coca-Cola, Boeing, McDonalds, GEICO, and many segments of the entertainment industry. While his work spans a remarkable range of subject areas, the common thread is his strong use of color and his talent for capturing the unique essence of his subject matter, be it an outdoor scene such as this, a commercial aircraft, or a rock star. Wexler’s diverse background includes a stint as personal photographer to musician Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills and Nash, and the production of several postage stamp series for the USPS, including the original “Teddy Bear” stamp and the popular “Purple Heart” stamp.
