intriguing meanings from a diverse range of colors and materials, while ultimately focusing the work on a finite theme of interconnectedness in the form of chains and links. These works are very personal pieces that have been inspired by particular, unique individuals in her life. Interestingly, this notion is complemented by the fact that the effect of her work is entirely different depending on the person wearing it.
Charlene Foster is a Brooklyn-based glass artist. She has studied and exhibited her work around the country. Her creations have been featured in numerous magazines, including A4, Fader, Flair, GLASS Quarterly, Beautiful Decay, and Vision. Her glass art has been auctioned at The Liberty Museum, PA, and Wheaton Arts, NJ. Since 2007 her work has been exhibited with UrbanGlass and at the SOFA exhibitions in New York City and Chicago.
