Item Special Note
Deborah Czeresko’s artistic philosophy combines two basic points: everything has an essential, inescapable nature; and balance equals harmony. Using this inspiration, she makes work that is directly influenced by the material.
Czeresko has been a New York City-based glassblower/artist since 1987. She has exhibited extensively in New York and Louisiana. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Glasmuseum Ebeltoft, Ebeltoft, Denmark; and the Frauenau Glasmuseum, Frauenau, Germany. She has received full scholarships from Pilchuck Glass School, WA and Tulane University, LA; as well as a fellowship from Metropolitan Contemporary Glass Group; and residencies from Appalachian Center for Craft and Bild-werk Frauenau.
Her work has been featured in magazines including Interior Design, Dwell Magazine, House and Garden, and GLASS Quarterly.
Czeresko uses the facilities at UrbanGlass to create her work.
