(Brian M. Zimmerman is donating the following items to the winning bidder: Green fees for up to three (3) persons for an 18-hole round of golf with Executive Director, Brian M. Zimmerman; Two (2) golf car rentals; and Lunch for up to three (3) persons.)

Brian Zimmerman is committed to conservation, education and recreation; the principles on which Cleveland Metroparks was founded.  As the executive director of Cleveland Metroparks (including Cleveland Metroparks Zoo), Brian oversees all aspects of the Park District’s 21,000 acres that serve over 40 million visitors annually. 

Prior to joining Cleveland Metroparks in 2010, Brian spent seven years with the Milwaukee County Park System as the chief of operations and golf operations manager  where he oversaw 156 parks,  15,000 acres of lake front property, 15 golf courses, parking structures, an ice arena and a sports complex. During his tenure the Milwaukee County Park System  recognized by the National Recreation and Park Association in 2009 with its prestigious Gold Medal Award.  Brian also served as the superintendent of golf and grounds for the Chikaming Country Club in southern Michigan.

Brian is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science-Soils. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the Greater Cleveland Council of the Boy Scouts of America, City of Cleveland Group Plan Commission, and Saint Ambrose Church 2020 Master Plan Committee. In addition, Brian is a member of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2011. In his free time, Brian and his family enjoy boating, hiking, golfing and cycling. Brian is also a sports enthusiast and remains a dedicated Badger fan!

Cleveland Metroparks was established in 1917 as the first Park District in the State of Ohio. It is a separate political subdivision of the State of Ohio governed by three volunteer Park Commissioners appointed by the presiding judge of Cuyahoga County Probate Court. Brian is the sixth executive director of Cleveland Metroparks.
