Item Description

The Championships, Wimbledon, or simply Wimbledon, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is generally considered the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in the London suburb of Wimbledon since 1877.  It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, and the only one still played on the game’s original surface, grass, which gave the game of lawn tennis its name.

The tournament takes place over two weeks in late June and early July, culminating with ladies’ and gentlemen’s singles finals, scheduled respectively for the second Saturday and Sunday. Each year, five major events are contested, as well as four junior events and four invitational events.

Wimbledon traditions include the eating of strawberries and cream, royal patronage and a strict dress code for competitors. In 2009, Wimbledon Centre Court was fitted with a retractable roof to insure against the possibility of rain delays interrupting Centre Court matches during the tournament.

The Wimbledon Final Tour is created for tennis fans who want to fulfill their lifetime ambition to witness history being made in the Ladies’ and Men’s finals.

Included:

  • Reserved Centre Court seats for 2  for the Ladies Finals, Saturday, July 2, 2011,  and for the Men’s Finals Sunday, July 3, 2011.
  • Exclusive membership for 2 in the award winning Gatsby Club opposite the main gate, with VIP hospitality including a cocktail and canapé reception, a la carte lunch with fine wines, traditional Wimbledon afternoon tea and a complimentary bar including champagne throughout the day.
  • Three-night’s shared accommodation in a five-star hotel for 2. Choose between these hotels:

The Ritz Hotel, Piccadilly   Few other places can summon such an immediate atmosphere of unparalleled style, sophistication and elegance. Opened in 1906, the Ritz today still retains feel of a French country house, while offering all the glamour, excitement and graceful living that are synonymous with this legendary, world-famous hotel. The hotel was returned to private ownership in 1995. Superior rooms offer very spacious accommodation, with 24 square meters of space and king-size beds. High ceilings with ornate cornicing add to the feeling of space, comfort and style and, like all the rooms at the Ritz, the 24carat gold leaf and antique  Louis XVI-style furnishings serve to enhance the refined and graceful atmosphere of this most elegant room.

The May Fair Hotel  This luxury hotel is set in exclusive Mayfair. An icon of expressive contemporary design, bringing together attention to detail with grand hotel service. A legendary luxury hotel with a glamorous past. The May Fair was first opened by His Majesty King George V in 1927. The new luxury May Fair Spa is an oasis of zen-calm providing treatments for both women and men.
