Item Description
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a 1-hour lesson from one of the world's most accomplished acoustic guitarists. Laurence has been supporting and advocating for Guitars in the Classroom since day 1, and has graciously offered this package for the auction. Note: Southern California only.
About Laurence Juber:
Fusing folk, jazz, and pop styles, two-time Grammy-winner Laurence Juber creates a multifaceted performance that belies the use of only one acoustic guitar.
The former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney's Wings (with whom he earned a Grammy award), Juber is a world-renowned guitar virtuoso, composer and arranger.
He has released 18 critically acclaimed solo albums, including LJ, Mosaic, Guitarist and PCH. His solo arrangement of The Pink Panther earned him a second Grammy. His CD, Pop Goes Guitar, includes the arrangement of Stand By Me that was heard nationally in the 'Diamonds Are Forever' commercial. His last release, Wooden Horses, showcases LJ's compositions for solo guitar, and his latest CD is a Vol 2 follow-up to LJ Plays The Beatles, which is one of Acoustic Guitar Magazine's' all-time Top Ten acoustic albums.

Our mission is to transform pre-k through high school classrooms by training teachers to integrate musical learning in lessons in order to increase student engagement, employ oral language practice, and promote student achievement across the academic curriculum. In our free workshops, teachers learn to sing with confidence, play guitar, lead songs, and to select, teach, and facilitate the student writing of educational songs. This daily integration of music with academic learning provides positive, inspiring musical access for all students as part of the regular school day.
