Our approach is communicative, direct and pragmatic - it's a process we believe yields exceedingly smart, fresh and creative results," says Kirk Nix, Principal Design Director at KNA (Kirk Nix Associates). As the head of KNA, Kirk oversees a staff of more than thirty design professionals encompassing a diverse range of expertise. He manages all aspects of design, planning, programming and project development of KNA. "From initial concept to final product, my work is the culmination of a lifetime of study, observation, and frankly, a great deal of trial and error. We aim to find the ideal blend of levity and sophistication in all we create," Kirk explains. Prior to establishing his own firm, Kirk served as Design Director with Hirsch Bedner Associates in Santa Monica, California, and Design Continuum in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama. Kirk has recently been awarded Hospitality Design's magazine's 2010 Platinum Circle Award, honoring exceptional achievement in the field of hospitality design.
