Windows on the World was a complex of venues at the top floors of the North Tower of the World Trade Center that included the restaurant, Windows on the World. The restaurant operated from April 1976 until 2001.
The carpet design features maps of various cities, including Amsterdam, Auckland, Bangkok, Barcelona, Berlin, Buenos Aires, New Delhi, New York, Paris, Prague, Rome, Tokyo, Toronto, Trenton and Venice.
