Item Description

The Rochester Museum & Science Center offers a 'Behind the Scenes' tour, for up to 10 people, of storage areas not normally open to the general public. These secure vaults contain more than 1.2 million objects, many of which have rarely been on display. A curator will take the high bidder and nine guests on a grand tour viewing collection objects such as Susan B. Anthony's quilt and coffee pot, a variety of Seneca objects from the ethnology collection, President Grant's cigar, Rattlesnake Pete's jacket and patent medicine, as well as a selection of minerals, fossils, and animals. Take advantage of this unusual opportunity to see and learn more about the interesting people and rare animals that represent Rochester's heritage!  Reservations for this tour are required. High bidder should contact GeorgeMcIntosh, RMSC Director of Collections at 271-4552 Ext. 306.

Certificate expires on 10/31/11.
