Item Description
This pot is made of stoneware clay and was fired in a Kevin Crowe's wood kiln in Nelson Country, VA where the artist serves as a member of Kevin's wood-fire crew. The mountain design is slip painted. The natural, earthy glaze on the outside of the pot comes from the wood ash flying through the kiln at tremendous heat. The inside of the pot is glazed with Gustin Shino. The handle is woven with bamboo canning. Maybe used for compost, cookies, and as a storage jar.
