Christine Wang was born in 1985 in Washington, D.C. She is a 2013 M.F.A. candidate at UCLA and completed her B.F.A. at The Cooper Union. Wang attended the Central Academy of Fine Arts for Mural Painting in Beijing in 2006. She has also completed numerous residencies including Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2007, Chashama North Residency in 2010, and Studio LLC at Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning in 2009-2010. Wang co-founded the Brooklyn artist-run studio space Splinters and Logs. Wang has participated in numerous group shows at galleries including the Prince Street Gallery and La Mama Gallery in New York City. She was the recipient of the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning Van Lier Fellowship in 2010. She has had solo shows at the Maryland College of Art and Design, The Cooper Union, and The Yellow Barn Gallery in Bethesda, Maryland.
