William J. O’Brien received his MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005 and his BA in Studio Art from Loyola University Chicago in 1997. He has exhibited solo at Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York, NY; Susanne Hilberry Gallery, Detroit and the Shane Campbell Gallery, Chicago among other venues. His most recent group exhibitions include In Stitches, Leila Taghinia-Milani Heller Gallery, New York; Selected Works from the MCA Collection, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; and An Expanded Field of Possibilities, Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, Santa Barbara, California. William lives and works in Chicago.
