When you enter our newly-renovated single-family house and see the century-old palm tree as the centerpiece of the private courtyard, you'll know you've truly entered an oasis of tranquility as the stress and worries of daily life slip away. Although peaceful, the house is located in the center of Biarritz in what is known as the best 'quartier' of the town. You will be a short five minute walk from the famous Cote des Basques surfing beach, a five minute walk from the world-renowned food market, and a short seven minute stroll to the main downtown area, which includes many shops and restaurants, the casino and the grande plage. The house is situated directly on Parc Mazon, which is a quiet, wonderful little park with a large play area for children. The house is shaped as an 'L' centered by the large courtyard with floor-to-ceiling French doors which fully open onto the space. These doors create an ideal indoor-outdoor living situation. Just to the left as you enter is the new gourmet kitchen, fully stocked with high-quality equipment waiting for you to turn your market purchases into culinary masterpieces. The kitchen flows seamlessly onto the living area, which is equipped with a large, comfy sofa, a large flat screen television, and a surround sound blu-ray DVD player. Up the ladder from the living area is a cozy loft which contains two extra sleeping spaces. Down a short hallway you first come to the laundry room with a full size washer and dryer, followed by the first of two main bedrooms. This bedroom is light and airy has two single beds which can be combined to form a queen size bed. Straight ahead is a half bathroom containing a toilet and just to the left is a well appointed bathroom with a full-size bathtub/shower, sink and toilet. The master bedroom is to the right and contains a separate en-suite shower and sink, queen size bed, and a desk, which also has french doors that open fully onto the courtyard. The courtyard contains a outdoor dining table with space for six, a BBQ, and two lounge chairs. The house comes complete with all linens and beach towels, and is fully equipped for a stay with children of any age, including infants (we have everything a child needs including toys and games, a 'pack and play' crib, high chair, stroller and more).

AIR: Bayonne - Anglet -- Biarritz international airport is 2 km (~5 min drive) from the house. Flights go direct to Biarritz from Dublin, Shannon, London, Frankfort, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly, Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand. Ryanair operates low cost flights to and from Dublin, Shannon, London and Frankfort with most routes flying several times a week. Air France operates most other routes with connections worldwide. Other Airports: Airlines also fly to many other airports within a 2 hour drive if Biarritz. These include Santander (Bilbao) and Vitoria in Spain and Pau and Bordeaux, France.
