Choose from one of our fabulous classes this summer as part of Drisha’s July Institute (July 5-August 5), a five-week intensive for women only. Drisha offers a wide array of classes, including Bible, Jewish Philosophy, Halakha and much more.

Want to know what it takes to properly honor your father and mother? Drisha’s class this summer, Kibbud Av V’Em, will explore the laws of this important commandment. It will run from 12:30-2:30PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and will be taught by Moshe Kahn.

Interested in brushing up on your Talmud skills? We are pleased to offer three separate Talmud classes this summer in our July Institute from 9:00AM-12:00PM. Classes, which are centered around skill building and textual analysis, will be taught by Daniel Reifman, Rachel Rosenthal, and Dudie Goshen.

Those are just two examples of what's offered in Drisha's summer program. Item Special Note

Drisha Institute was founded in 1979 to provide women with the opportunity to engage in the advanced study of classical Jewish texts. Today, Drisha is dedicated to teaching Torah to women and men as a means of strengthening Jewish life and building more knowledgeable, committed, and inspired Jewish communities. Drisha students encounter Jewish texts in a serious, intellectually rigorous and inclusive manner through specialized courses, lectures, and havruta [partner] study. Graduates of Drisha’s full-time programs serve as educators, scholars, and leaders in the Jewish community and the world at large. Drisha offers full-time programs for women, college programs for men and women, high school programs and bat mitzvah classes for girls, classes for engaged couples. an arts fellowship and a multitude of continuing education classes. Topics include Bible, Jewish law, philosophy, rabbinics and prayer.
