About The Bridge Arts Program
Over the last 24 years since 1987, Judith Rosenthal, art therapist and program director, has worked with and motivated Bridge clients to maximize their artistic abilities and immerse themselves in their work while learning to express themselves through art.
In a unique community partnership with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)’s Community Access Program, Bridge Group Artists participate in a series of workshops each spring and summer over an eight-week period to create new works of art that are exhibited at the Museum’s Lewis B. Cullman Education and Research Center. The MoMA partnership, now in its sixth year, provides our artists opportunities to learn about art as a creative expression, to create outstanding artwork and maximize their artistic abilities while also building their self-esteem and increasing their coping and social skills.
The Bridge Art Program has been enormously successful in helping men and women express their inner most thoughts and ideas through painting, photography, and poetry and has greatly contributed toward their personal growth and wellness.
