Item Description
Jim Schoel will captain a half-day sail around Cape Ann on "Fever" a C&C 30 for 6 people with a cook-out and swim at Brace Cove, the site of many paintings by artist Fitz Henry Lane. A rare opportunity to see Cape Ann with an accomplished outdoorsman.
Offer will be good for a year, right into the fall.
Item Special Note
The C&C 30 was designed as a racer /cruiser. It became an international classic one-design in the 30 foot class. Almost 1000 C&C 30 sailboats were built from the early 1970s to the early 1980s -- close to two a week. It was built of advanced materials like a balsa wood core deck for lightness and strength, and a high performance fin keel. With advanced materials, it was stronger and faster than other production 30 foot sailboats. It can be expected to beat other brands of sailboats in a race. Yet with a large 10 foot beam it is one of the roomiest cruisers in the 30 foot range. The beam also makes the boat stiffer, so that it races, and cruises, better than similar boats in heavy air. The stronger the winds, the more power and stability the boat has.
