Item Description
Enjoy dinner in a restaurant that has become legendary since it opened in 1969 in a Victorian farmhouse. In March 1977 Margaret Fox, a colleague of Alice Waters (Chez Panisse), acquired the restaurant, turning Cafe Beaujolais into the culinary destination that it remains today. Wander through the beautiful garden filled with antique roses, edible flowers and unusual plants to savor the heritage of this restaurant. A hallmark of Cafe Beaujolais' cooking is the use of organically grown produce, which the current owner and Executive Chef David LaMonica continues. As you would expect, most of the meat, poultry and eggs come from animals humanely raised in a free-range environment, without chemical-supplemented feed. As for the sea's harvest, the Cafe uses locally line-caught or farmed seafood whever possible. Bon Appetit!
