A fixture on Cape Ann, Kerry's work has been shown at various North Shore venues including her own Spotted Cat Gallery, Cove Gallery, Artspace, Joncien Gallery and Local Colors. Her work is in private collections across the United States. Item Special Note

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

My paintings and sculptures are primarily expressions of a spiritual journey. The connection between us and that which cannot be seen is life-sustaining. I hope, for some, my work is a conduit for experiencing that connection.

My inspiration comes from the art and architecture of many diverse cultures across the globe including the relief carvings and sculptures of the Aztec civilization in Mexico; the pre-christian and christian celtic carvings of Ireland; the monasteries and temples of Thailand and southeast Asia and the mosques and temples from India to Iran. My inspiration also comes from contemporary artists such as environmental sculptor and installation artist Andy Goldsworthy, clay artist, Lana Wilson, and poet Mary Oliver; artists whose work serves my soul the way I hope my work may serve others.

A friend once said, "Making art is an act of worship; worship everyday!"
