Item Description
Two orchestra seats (Row R, seats 6 and 8) go to the winner for the Sunday, October 30th matinee performance of Xerxes by George F. Handel. This Baroque opera seria masterpiece in three parts was first performed in London in 1738. The current performance has been widely acclaimed as one of the greatest Handel productions of our time with visually stunning Oliver-Award winning staging by famed film and theater director, Nicholas Hytner. Clever comedy is intertwined with tender poignancy in a tale of unrequited love and intrigue at a royal court. Patrick Summers, who conducts Handel with outstanding depth, virtuosity, and clarity, leads an outstanding cast featuring Susan Graham and David Daniels, the most acclaimed countertenor of the day. Sung in Italian with English subtitles.
Item Special Note
These tickets are only available for Sunday, October 30th at 1:30 pm
