Item Description
This is a signed page from the score of Higdon's Violin Concerto, the work that won her a 2010 Pulitzer Prize, making her one of just a small number of women to win the prize. David Ng of the LA Times writes: The concerto was co-commissioned by the Indianapolis Symphony and debuted in 2009 with the orchestra and Hilary Hahn as the soloist. In its citation, the Pulitzer board described the piece as “deeply engaging” and said that it “combines flowing lyricism with dazzling virtuosity.” Own a piece of history!
