Item Description
Chinese dissident Ai Weiwei commissioned workshops in Jingdezhen, China to make 100 million unique, hand-painted porcelain sunflower seeds. Then they were transported to London and spread across the turbine hall floor of the Tate Gallery in a thick blanket. It was a thing to behold: static and gray in one sense, and in another sense, absorbing and colorful.
