Item Description
Volunteer Surf Lifesaving is an iconic organisation which represents the provision of safety monitoring on Australia's beaches. On Australian beaches the best place to swim is between the red and yellow flags as these are patrolled by the surf lifesavers. These surf lifesavers wear distinctive red and yellow clothing. This is the uniform they wear. The yellow top can be seen clearly on the beach. The cap is worn durin a rescue as it can be seen out to sea by rescue helicopters.
