ABOUT THE INN

Few traditions remain here as this long established guest-house (formerly Lathrop House) begins to create a new and fresh history as ~ripples~ Inn at the Harbor.

Nestled on a pleasant side street footsteps from the harbor, ~ripples~ Inn offers the tranquility of a peaceful setting with all of Rockland's attractions a few steps away. Enjoy peaceful afternoons, fragrant fresh flowers and a wraparound veranda in the lazy days and warm nights of summer. Common areas on the first floor include a cozy parlor with a little wood burning stove for those chilly autumn mornings and nippy evenings and a communal dining room.

Daily Breakfasts . . . with careful attention to a wholesome and healthful lifestyle your plate will be filled with fresh berries, local and tropical fruits and smoothies, whole grains and compassionately raised proteins (eggs/bacon/sausages). With advance notice, most special diets can be accommodated.

Common areas on the second floor include The Artist's Way (aka second floor hall) - a wonderfully created new pathway filled with artwork from friends, family, and other artists and crafts people of all sorts, known and unknown, or as yet undiscovered.

The UN-common Room is for all to share. Microwave, snacks, fridge, books and magazines, computer, small TV, computer and fax. Connect. Check your email. Have a snack. Disconnect. Read a magazine. Plan your adventures. Browse the bookshelf. Listen to the radio. Play a game of checkers with a former stranger. Strategize. Watch a little TV. Share your ideas. Ask questions. Get answers. Make a list.

All packing and shipping of items will be handled by The UPS Store. Please contact them for an estimate at 207.594.4200 or store2040@theupsstore.com.

All items and gift certificates may be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce office on One Park Drive in Rockland. Gift certificates will be mailed to the winners at no charge. If the winner is unable to pick up an item, it will be shipped to them and they will be responsible for all shipping and handling fees, which will be added to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped and billed at standard industry rates.
