History

We started work with a 1939 Dump truck with a 200 gallon tow behind tar tank with 2 men. Our first job took a month to finish, 1945. Our first asphalt plant located on Knowlton St, with an output of only 10 tons every 30 minutes.

The early '50's was really where it began, moving from 1 truck with 2 men, to a plant that can produce 10 tons every 15 minutes.

The 1960's brought our first gravel pit in Washington from which we supply gravel, rock, and asphalt products still today. We established an even larger plant still able to product hot mix at 3/4 ton per minute. 1965 we upgraded even more trading our previous plant for a plant able to produce 2 1/2 tons per minute. In the same year we were able to supply mix for 24 towns, we also completed construction of our Rockport office and Garage. With a fleet of trucks we were able to cover an area from Searsport to Boothbay, and Rockport to Sidney.
