In support of AOPA Foundation Inc., Cessna has donated the right to purchase, at a substantial discount, a new 2011 Cessna Model 172 Skyhawk SP that has approximately 90 total demo hours and features Garmin G1000® avionics. The images above are of the actual aircraft up for auction.

During our auction, the bidder is bidding on the right to purchase this Cessna at a discounted price.  The value of the difference between the final winning bid and the discounted cost of the basic aircraft will be donated to AOPA Foundation Inc. Basic list price is $307,500.

Avionics

Custom modified for Cessna, the all-glass Garmin G1000® avionics suite integrates all primary flight, engine and sensor data to provide intuitive, at-a-glance situational awareness. Real-time flight-critical data is gathered and displayed on two configurable large-format, high-resolution screens. Plus, the G1000 is also standard on our Caravan, Corvalis and the Citation Mustang models, so should your mission change your transition between aircraft will be significantly smoother.

One of the most amazing capabilities of the G1000 is the GFC 700 autopilot. With innovative features including airspeed hold, overspeed protection, pitch hold and coupled VNAV, the GFC 700 provides precise lateral and vertical guidance and in-flight support capabilities formerly available only on the most sophisticated business jets.
