With more than 43,000 delivered, the Skyhawk has been integral to the development of countless pilots. The aircraft’s exemplary safety record and excellent handling characteristics have earned it a reputation as the safest general aviation aircraft ever built, while its all-around versatility has made it a preferred choice for recreational flight and special mission operations.

Exterior

From spinner to tail, today's Cessnas embody a marriage of authentic, time-honored aviation design and the continuous refinements based on years of customer feedback. It starts with a timeless high-wing design that offers so many practical benefits, including greater stability, superb visibility, sun blocking and inclement weather protection. This high-wing design also results in a simplified preflight inspection and easy access to pilot, passenger and cargo doors. All told, these and other proven design features deliver serious performance, reliability, and peace of mind to every aspect of the flight experience.

Interior

Supple, deep-contoured leather seats. Artful world-class lighting. Advanced soundproofing. Cabin air controls. Enhanced multilevel ventilation. Today's Cessna cabin is one of the most relaxing, most thoroughly refined, enjoyable flying venues ever created — for pilots and passengers alike. From the highly refined cockpit to the panoramic wraparound windows, every inch, every contour, every detail is designed to offer you and your fellow aviators the ride of a lifetime.

Avionics

Custom modified for Cessna, the all-glass Garmin G1000® avionics suite integrates all primary flight, engine and sensor data to provide intuitive, at-a-glance situational awareness. Real-time flight-critical data is gathered and displayed on two configurable large-format, high-resolution screens. Plus, the G1000 is also standard on our Caravan, Corvalis and the Citation Mustang models, so should your mission change your transition between aircraft will be significantly smoother.

One of the most amazing capabilities of the G1000 is the GFC 700 autopilot. With innovative features including airspeed hold, overspeed protection, pitch hold and coupled VNAV, the GFC 700 provides precise lateral and vertical guidance and in-flight support capabilities formerly available only on the most sophisticated business jets.

Service and support

No matter where you fly, your Skyhawk is always close to home. Our worldwide network of service stations and parts distribution facilities can provide you with exceptional service and support to ensure the maximum uptime for your aircraft and the utmost safety for its occupants.
