Item Description
"The Phorcydes" is the title of this 1889 wood engraving of a painting by Elihu Vedder. This work depicts three sisters who, in Greek mythology, were daughters of Phorcys and Ceto. This piece is donated from the collection of Stephan and Julia Brigidi of the Bristol Workshops in Photography, Bristol, RI. In mint condition, this print measures 7 1/" x 6" and is matted in museum board. Overall dimensions, in its silver wood frame, are 16" x 14".
