Gift certificate for $250 worth towards tuition for any 2012 class (any Rockland workshop) at Coastal Maine Art Workshops. Nationally recognized instructors come to teach for a week at our Trade Winds Art Studio on Winter Street in Rockland. We have studio and Plein Air classes. Tuition runs from $425 to $600 for 4 to 5 days. For 2012 season only, may not be combined with any other discount. To sign up, please contact Lyn Donovan at 594-4813.

CMAW brings internationally known artists to Rockland to provide exciting, quality art instruction. Generally classes are held either plein air or in our large studio at the Trade Winds Motor Inn, across the road from Rockland Harbor. Some classes may also take a train ride to paint in Wiscasset for the day. (Ask your instructor about doing this!)

Rockland has a wealth of vistas to paint, great food and is considered one of the country's best art destinations! The center of this very small city offers galleries, shops, restaurants, museums and easy access to the waterfront scenery.

Rockland has a busy harbor with a variety of working and pleasure craft, both sail and power. The city's architecture reflects its history; its mix of wealthy and working class homes and buildings offers intriguing painting alternatives.

Not far from quaint seaside villages, lighthouses and beaches, or a ferry trip to Monhegan and the other nearby islands, Rockland is just a few miles from the beautiful harbors of Camden and Rockport. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are only 2 hours further up the Coast. We'll do everything we can to make your experience one that will bring you back again and again; some of our students and teachers have been coming for many years! Your registration includes a Welcome Gathering the night before, and a Complimentary Lobster dinner the night of, the first class; plus 24 hour studio access and free parking at the Trade Winds, regardless of where you stay.

All items and gift certificates may be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce office on One Park Drive in Rockland. Gift certificates will be mailed to the winners at no charge. If the winner is unable to pick up an item, it will be shipped to them and they will be responsible for all shipping and handling fees, which will be added to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped and billed at standard industry rates.
