Item Description
This is a great gift for dedicated baseball collectors. It features a large-size black-colored jersey of the 2006 "Brickdown Showdown" AAA Baseball Championship Game that was won by the Tucson Sidewinders, the AAA affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. This package also includes a figurine of Luis Gonzalez, the Diamondbacks superstar who played for the Tucson Sidewinders.
The Bricktown Showdown, now known as the Triple-A Baseball National Championship Game, is a single championship game held annually between the league champions of the International League (IL) and Pacific Coast League (PCL) Triple-A leagues of minor league baseball to determine an overall champion of class Triple-A baseball. From 2006 to 2010, it was held annually at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City RedHawks, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Tucson Sidewinders won the first Bricktown Showdown in 2006 by a final score of 5–2 against the Toledo Mud Hens.
Luis Gonzalez's number 20 was retired by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2010. He was a 5× All-Star selection (1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005), a World Series champion (2001), and a Silver Slugger Award winner (2001).
