Item Description

This entertaining auction package includes three gay films produced throughout this past decade, including:

  1. Children of God: Johnny is an art student in Nassau whose technique is  perfect, but he’s creatively blocked. His teacher sends him off to the  rural island of Eleuthera where he meets Romeo, a hot musician. They begin a clumsy dance of attraction and  romance. Romeo has a fiancé and is identified as straight, but he’s been  known to play with the boys on the side secretly. The Bahamas are bound  by religious traditions that discourage homosexuality and end up  forcing gay men into the closet. Lena is a pastor’s wife. Her husband  demonizes homosexuality to further his career, yet he’s on the DL as  well. When Lena discovers that her husband has infected her with venereal disease, he  accuses her of infidelities. These characters are all bound together in  this intense drama of love, family and secrets.

  2. Judas Kiss: Prolific out gay star Charlie David (Mulligans, Dante’s Cove, etc.) stars as gay filmmaker Zachary Wells. While serving as a film festival judge, Zach has a one-night stand with handsome student filmmaker Danny Reyes, who turns out to be competing for a scholarship that Zach must award! Mysterious coincidences abound: “Danny Reyes” is Zach’s actual birth name and Danny’s film entry has the same title as Zach’s film that won the festival years before. With his own career in shambles, Zach sees Danny making the same mistakes he did — and he decides to take matters into his own hands.

  3. The Green: Called “a smart and sophisticated film about life in a post-marriage-equality world” by the San Francisco Chronicle, and “Engrossing” by Variety, The Green tells the story of a teacher at a Connecticut private high school, who thinks he can live a simple, harmonious domestic existence with his partner Daniel, a local caterer. Seemingly more concerned with the minutiae of suburban life than he is about challenging the bias he experiences in the provincial, recession-weary Yankee bastion, Michael adheres to an unspoken survival code: Don’t speak up, don’t make trouble. But Michael’s world is turned upside-down when he is accused of engaging in “inappropriate behavior” with a male student, who runs away from home leaving behind his financially-strapped mother and her mercenary boyfriend to capitalize on the school’s culpability in the alleged affair. With his job, relationship, and freedom in jeopardy, Michael must confront the suspicions of his co-workers, the latent homophobia of his friends and neighbors, and Daniel’s doubts about his partner’s innocence after the investigation reveals a secret from his past.
