Emma Simmons is a freelance photographer based in San Francisco, California. Her most recent work included photos that she took in Kashmir and India while assisting photographer John Isaac, former head of the United Nations photography department. Emma’s passion is wildlife photography; this photograph was taken while revisiting Tanzania, where she spent three months volunteering at a day care and orphanage after graduating from college. Emma’s favorite aspect of photographing wildlife is witnessing the interaction of animals and seeing their personalities unfold right in front of the camera; she finds this to be a form of meditation.
