Item Description
The violently swirling shapes of dark reds, grays and browns create a nightmarish and almost apolcalyptic feel to this acrylic on canvas painting by one of the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center's longtime neighbors at the Court Street location, Gladys Upfermann. Entitled The Angel Said, "Thou Eat This," and I Ate the World, the painting measures 17.75" wide x 24" high. The artwork is not gallery-wrapped, so it would require framing prior to hanging it. Though this piece is unsigned, Mrs. Upfermann's initials "GLU" appear written in ink on the wood of the canvas frame.
