Greater Vision - The Anniversary Celebration!

On December 30, 1990, a brand new group called Greater Vision took to the stage for the first time in a little church in Grassy Creek, Kentucky. Now, twenty years later, Greater Vision is one of the biggest names in Southern Gospel music and is celebrating their anniversary with this great new DVD, recorded live in Morristown, Tennessee on December 30, 2010. Featuring lead singer Gerald Wolfe, baritone Rodney Griffin and tenor Chris Allman, this "Anniversary Celebration" is sure to please any fan of Southern Gospel.

Following an introduction by Dr. Charles Stanley, this DVD launches into an 18 song concert that features some of the best songs performed by Greater Vision over the past twenty years. With Gerald Wolfe's engaging stories and distinctive good humor between songs, you'll hear past and present favorites like the powerful "My Name Is Lazarus" and "Faces." Many of the songs come with a story, like "Hallelujah Square," which features Chris, or "God So Loves Me," written by and featuring Rodney.

Four songs on the video feature the "original" Greater Vision, with Gerald Wolfe and Chris Allman joined by Mark Trammell, currently of the Mark Trammell Quartet. Together, this trio sings four classic songs: "When The Gates Swing Open," "Sailing Away," "Jesus Is Here" and "It's Just Like Heaven." A real treat for long-time fans, this group performs "It's Just Like Heaven" from an old shaped-note arrangement, bringing an energetic and unique sound to the performance.

This DVD also includes special features such as behind the scenes footage, out-takes from the concert and a segment called "20 Years In 10 Minutes." This last piece features video clips of Greater Vision from 1991 to the present, showing some of the changes and history that the group has gone through.
