Item Description
This is an opportunity to both relieve some of the burden that comes with dealing with illness and also maximize your resources and those of your physicians. It is a short course designed to jump start you into rethinking the way you live with illness and make improvements in all aspects of your care and life in general.
First session consists of review of medical experience, assessment of how patient presents records for physicians and how patient presents symptoms to physicians AND themselves and loved ones. Overview of experience with illness and history taking in terms of skills, relationships and overall goals. The patient is sent home with set of goals for next session.
Second Session consists of review of review of homework goals, role-play specifically designed for patient to strengthen relationships, needs, experience and achieve goals. Take home tips.
Medical Navigational Coaching Sessions take approximately 90-120 minutes each in office and will include a moving forward plan personally designed for the patient.

Cheryl Prevor, Psy.D is a clinical psychotherapist in Beverly Hills, California. Although Dr. Prevor received extensive training in longterm analytic psychotherapy, in her private and group practice she found herself drawn to specific goal oriented solutions. The motto "Change your story, change your life" has offered great support for her patients.
This can be done in-state (California) or out of state. If in-state, Dr. Prevor will meet you at your home, or her office. If out of state, you can work through phone, email, skype, fax and/or mail.
