Item Description
This stunning belt buckle is called "Avondale". As with all of the artists belt buckles, it is one of a kind. The center is lavender Lepidolite stone with pink Tourmaline. Copper heishi trade beads, natural turquoise heishi beads, crazy lace agate rondeles and handmade white glass African trade beads are used. The buckle has been grouted and a metallic copper glaze has been added. It comes with a vintage style leather belt strap.
Artist and donor Lisa Calabro grew up in East Greenwich, Rhode Island and has been involved in some form of art her entire life. Her father, Philip Calabro, is a sculptor and retired jewelry designer and model maker. He actually did a little spot for the Rhode Island PBS art auction about 30 years ago!!
Item Special Note
The buckle measures 2 3/4"H x 3 1/2"W. The belt is 38"long.
