Artist Bio:

Native Californian, Lucinda Hayes, captures life’s enthusiasm and deep emotion in each work of art she creates. Lucinda believes art is an adventure and each painting has a personality of its own. Allowing the character of a painting to create a feeling, she uses vibrant colors and dramatic light, or perhaps soft subtle tones to tell the story. Although working primarily in watercolor, Lucinda is also established as a custom wall mural artist. Her current “adventure” is using mixed media to bring even more elements into her work!

Lucinda has studied with many noted artists, including Don Andrews, Polly Hammett, Dan Peterson, and others. Her award-winning work is included in many private and corporate collections nationally and in Europe.

Lucinda brings a quality of freshness to her work which reflects her enthusiasm for life. Her watercolors capture the richness and beauty of nature at its best. By focusing in on the smallest detail of a flower or the beauty of the most commonplace object, she is able to stop in time a quiet, ethereal moment in nature. Whether it’s fanciful animals, wall murals, trompe l’oeils or portraiture, Lucinda creates a luminous, magical vision that is uniquely hers.
