Item Description
This very special cooking class is being offered by Joe Yonan, Food and Travel editor for The Washington Post, where he writes regular features. Those include the monthly "Cooking for One" column which inspired his first book, "Serve Yourself: Nightly Adventures in Cooking for One" (Ten Speed Press, March 2011).
We love Joe because he is a FRESHFARM market regular and early this summer, we worked with him on a successful Chef demo and happy hour at Cities, to promote his book and our markets. Others obviously hold him in high esteem as well- it turns out that he has won awards for writing and editing from the James Beard Foundation, Association of Food Journalists, and the Society of American Travel Writers, and his work has been featured three times in the "Best Food Writing" anthology.
This item is for a Singles Cooking Class for 6 lucky people and a signed copy of his book for each guest. The three hour class will cover strategies and tips for solo cooking and will include a meal.
Item Special Note
The class will be held at the home of the winner. Date and time to be determined by mutual agreement. Please call at least one month ahead. (Alcohol and other beverages not included).
