When the FRESHFARM Markets offices received the New Yorker on May 30, 2011. we were thrilled. Lo and behold, farmers markets really were part of our social landscape! Peter de Seve's amusing, colorful "Small Growers" graced the cover, paying homage to those farmers, producers and customers who come to market faithfully, rain or shine. With a lucky gnome in the mix, the weather just might hold out for the day and customers will buy!.

Peter may be best recognized for his New Yorker covers, but his award-winning work spans three decades across various media. He made many of the character designs for the Ice Age movies, and contributed to other films, including Mulan, and Finding Nemo. His many distinctions include a HamiltonKing Award from the Society of Illustrators, a Clio Award for a Nike television commercial and a Soleil d'Or award from the Festival BD Sollies Ville in France.

Offered here, a framed, signed artist proof of Peter DeSeve's New Yorker cover, "Small Growers". The proof is matted alongside the cover. The mat is cream and the frame made of wood, duplicating the farmer's crates in the picture,
