Item Description
I did 4 to 5 different designs on violin stencils i made. When it was time to start I coated the violin with 3 coats of gesso, and decided I was going to use oil paints because of the design I selected. I first sprayed the entire violin with red spray paint, then black when the red was dry creating a gradient effect into the red. Once that was all dried I attempted to paint fire for the 1st time in my life! Let alone with the figure of a bird coming out and on a violin! With the paint dry, I used 2 coats of fixative varnish spray to give it a final gloss and a layer of protection.
