Artist Bio:

My inspiration for LeftPaw and the Pop collection came to me during my freshman year at Savannah College of Art and Design while I was living at the dorms. I had no one to love or take care of but the Wal-Mart fish which I had to keep replacing every week. My dream was to own a Boston Terrier. The thought of my new friend was almost an obsession. It rose to the point where the idea was the subject of my school art, speeches and research projects. The Boston, Blue, was the first of the collection.

I am in love with my dogs, and I see that in others as well. People have an amazing connection with their pets, and for me, painting pets is how I can document this bond. My biggest joy as an artist is the look on the faces of my customers after I have captured the essence of their furry friend. I am honored to have had the opportunity to paint many portraits since I started in 2000, and I look forward to creating unique and inspired art for years to come.

My goal is to keep painting dogs, as many breeds and personalities that I can find. Should I run into another interesting creature along the way then by no means will I deprive them of the opportunity to be painted in bright colors and bold design. An octopus can be hip too!
