NEW OPENING BID! Only $1,000
One of the main attractions of the Rising Rainbow Cabin is its location. If you’re seeking upscale Montana Yellowstone River-side lodging combined with seclusion and nearly 5 miles of exclusive access to the Yellowstone River, then the Rising Rainbow Cabin is the perfect choice.
Ideally situated along one of the last free remaining stretches of this great river, you’ll find no commercial developments. If you’re a fly fisher, then this cabin is arguably the best lodging on the entire river! Anyone who appreciates the grand panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, endless wildlife viewing, even a nest of Osprey, and a plethora of other wildlife including Elk, Deer, Antelope, Big Horn Sheep, and even the occasional Grizzly, all have been seen from the area near this Montana guest cabin. It’s not uncommon to see Bald Eagles and other birds of prey soaring high above the river. There’s not a lot of traffic other than wildlife!
Many guests who rent this cabin spend little time travelling and find that everything they need, especially Mother Nature, is right off the front deck!
The Rising Rainbow Cabin offers a full covered porch with a gas bar-b-que grill and comfortable chairs to watch those incredible Montana sunsets over the Gallatin Mountains. Most fly fishers never even break down their rods after they’ve arrived. It’s quite a temptation knowing that the best stretch of the Yellowstone River is just a short walk along a nice trail! We highly suggest you take a camera along!
The “Ranch Stretch” begins at the outflow of “Yankee Jim Canyon.” Both sides of the entire stretch are open to wade fishing with no homes or private dwellings. This stretch of the Yellowstone offers about every type of water a fly fisher could wish for. You’ll find long tailing glassy pools below choppy riffles. The “Swing Hole” was aptly named by the many fly fishers who’ve enjoyed the incredible Caddis hatches that bring big fish from their daytime hiding spots to feed as the sun lowers in the sky. Located downstream from the cabin, this is often a favorite haunt of our guests, many who fish well past the sunset because it’s just that exciting…and why leave rising trout?
The "Ranch Stretch" flowing through the private property of Dome Mountain Ranch offers one of the last remaining stretches of the Yellowstone River free of development.
Paradise Valley, Montana has been referred to as “one of the TOP 10 Most Beautiful Destinations.” The Yellowstone River was originally called the “Elk River,” and you’ll see why after a stay with Dome Mountain Ranch. It’s not unusual to see more elk within minutes of the cabin that you’ll see througout even Yellowstone National Park. It’s no wonder our guests return season after season to enjoy this splendid cabin!
Cabin sleeps up to 6. This package includes includes 2 days fishing for 2 people; additional anglers can be accomodated a la carte.
