Mindy Reinstein is Legislative Counsel for U.S. Congressman Alcee Hastings (FL-23) in Washington, D.C. where she has worked for 3 years. She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2008 and was very active in HOPE as the first HOPE Senior Fellow, the President of the Society of Bar & Gavel from 2007-2008, and the recipient of the Roger Sorino Award. Mindy grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is a proud member of the Florida Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Her legislative portfolio includes judiciary issues, human rights, human trafficking, Middle East foreign policy, breast cancer, government reform, labor, homelessness, appropriations and competitive grants. Mindy is extremely passionate about Holocaust studies and volunteers at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. She earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University majoring in International Studies with a focus on Middle East and Africa.
