About the Chefs

Before starting his own company, Florian Bellanger was the executive pastry chef at Fauchon and served as the Eric Ripert pastry chef of the world-renowned (3 stars Michelin) restaurant Le Bernardin from 1996 to 2001, where his desserts were described as "light and dreamy" by Ruth Reichl of The New York Times.  Bellanger is now the chef and co-owner of Mad-Mac, an acclaimed French cookie and pastry company serving authentic French Macaroons and Madeleines, which he helped found in 2006.  Bellanger was named one of the 10 Best Pastry Chefs in America in 2004 and 2003 by Pastry Art & Design magazine. In 2000 and 2001, the James Beard Foundation acclaimed Bellanger's
accomplishments with a nomination for "Outstanding Pastry Chef." He is a permanent judge on the hit Food Network competition series Cupcake Wars which airs in the US, Canada, UK, Belgium, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Daniel Boulud is Chef-Owner of several award-winning restaurants and the Feast & Fêtes catering company. While he hails from Lyon, France, it is in New York that he has truly mastered the dining scene and is today considered one of America’s leading culinary authorities.  Boulud’s culinary accolades include James Beard Foundation awards for “Outstanding Restaurant,” “Outstanding Restaurateur,” “Best Chef, New York City” and “Outstanding Chef of the Year.” In addition, he has been named “Chef of the
Year” by the Culinary Institute of America and Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur by the French government. Restaurant DANIEL has been cited as “one of the ten best restaurants in the world” by the International Herald Tribune, has earned three Michelin stars, a coveted four star rating from The New York Times, Wine Spectator’s “Grand Award” and is ranked eighth among Restaurant Magazine’s “World’s 50 Best Restaurants.” The Chef’s culinary style is reflected in his six cookbooks and his “After Hours with Daniel” television series.

Tom Colicchio is an American celebrity chef. He co-founded the Gramercy Tavern in New York City, and formerly served as a co-owner and as the executive chef. He is also the founder of Craft and Colicchio & Sons restaurants. Colicchio is the recipient of five James Beard Foundation Medals for his cooking accomplishments.  He has been the head judge on every season of the Bravo reality TV show Top Chef. Colicchio has been a featured chef on Great Chefs Television.

Daniel Humm, a native of Switzerland, began his culinary training at the age of 14 as an apprentice and went on to cook in many of the finest Swiss hotels and restaurants. Daniel earned his first Michelin star at the age of 24 as the Executive Chef at Gasthaus zum Gupf in the Swiss Alps. In 2003, Daniel became the Executive Chef at Campton Place in San Francisco and received Four Stars from the San Francisco Chronicle. Three years later, Daniel became the Executive Chef of Eleven Madison Park. Under his leadership, the restaurant was designated Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux in 2008 and received Four Stars from The New York Times in 2009. In 2010, Daniel received the James Beard Award for "Best Chef: NYC."
