Item Description
Button from the March on Washington, August 28, 1963
Item Special Note
The only item of my father's that I took after he died. I was nine years old when the march was held in DC (my home town). I begged to be allowed to go along with my parents and their friends, but they feared what could happen if things turned violent. Things didn't, and the rest is history, one of America's great moments.
The march was for "Jobs & Freedom." Sounds familiar...
