Marklin Mini-Club Z Gauge 88052 Locomotive Special Edition
- Item Number
- 108
Item Description
Class 89 tank locomotive. Comes equipped with the 5-pole Mini-Club motor. Floating center axle. Locomotive built into a light bulb. The light bulb stands on a stone base. An exclusive writing implement is included.
The model of the class 89 tank locomotive has stood for 30 years as the synonym for Mini-Club. It was there right from the introduction of Mini-Club in 1972. The model of the class 89 in the light bulb symbolizes Mini-Club like no other image and it reflects the tiny aspects of the models. With a length over the buffers of 45 mm or 1-3/4" it has remained right up to today the smallest Mini-Club locomotive. On the occasion of the 30th birthday of Mini-Club, Märklin translated this symbolic representation into a limited edition in reality.
The locomotive in the light bulb is quite suitable as a eye-catching decorative piece on any desk. A shaped base of precious stone forms the foundation. The light bulb together with the class 89 tank locomotive placed inside it is mounted on the base. In addition, a high quality ballpoint pen as an exclusive writing implement is included. How the locomotive got through the narrow neck of the light bulb will remain Märklin's secret.
The no. 88052 locomotive in the light bulb was produced in a one-time series only in 2002 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Mini-Club.
