It’s a landmark here in the Ocean State. It’s Brenton Cove. This beautifully framed original watercolor measures 17 ½”H x 22 ¾”W. Award willing artist Richard Grosvenor painted and donated it.
For years the operator of Newport's Spring Bull Studio and Gallery, Richard Grosvenor headed up the Art Department at Newport's St. George's School for 40 years. He paints in oil and watercolor and has had several solo shows here and in New York. A Grosvenor painting of the White House was featured in a calendar commissioned by President and Mrs. Clinton. He is a longtime supporter of the Rhode Island PBS Arts Auction.
