Item Description
Come to Life Lab at the UCSC Farm and spend two hours with Gail Harlmoff and Abby Bell making your own jam and canning it. We will use (and provide) whatever fruit is ripe and in season. Each participant will leave the session with a pint of jam and the knowledge of how to preserve/can your own food. Family friendly. Up to 10 participants. Session is available on a Saturday or Sunday, May through July.
Gail Harlmoff is the Executive Director of Life Lab and a long time gardener and food preservationist. Abby Bell is the Farm and Program Manager for Life Lab's "Food, What?!" program and teaches canning techniques and food preservation to teens and adults.
