Item Description
Japanese-born Rhode Island artist Hiroku Shikashio demonstrates her talent and use of color in this photo print Reflection. It’s placed in a black metal frame and measures 8” x 8”.
Hiroku states, “I use color as the key element in abstract works. Moved by scenes and simple objects surrounding me, I seek to assimilate and transform them into colorful imagery.”
Her work has been exhibited extensively in both one-person and group shows, including Newport Art Museum solo show, By Virtue Of Excellence, Watercolor USA, Happy White Gallery, Jewish Community Center in Providence and Greater New Haven, SoHo Galleries in New York City, Kawakami Gallery in Tokyo, Yu-Art Gallery & H Art room Gallery in Nagano Japan.
