Item Description
4 - 750ML bottles of Chateau De La Gardine 2004
According to Robert Parker: "The 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape is actually one of the more forward wines La Gardine has made in a number of years. It is dark ruby, has excellent chocolatey pain grille notes intermixed with espresso, sweet cherry, and blackberry. The wine is soft, deep, with excellent purity and should drink nicely for up to a decade." (02/07) According to Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Strong kirsch and dark plum on the nose, with a dark chocolate accent. Ripe and fleshy, with dark fruit flavors framed by solid tannins and a hint of heat on the finish. Gains freshness and sweetness with air, but this serious, brooding wine will need to be served with highly seasoned dishes." (Jan/Feb 07) 13.5% abv.
