Item Description
This beautifully crafted crewel work chair has equal parts charm and whimsy. The beautiful floral pattern was hand crafted by the original owner in 1965 and stayed within her family until it was donated to Tower Hill Botanic Garden in 1979.
Item Special Note
The original owner, Marion J. Inett completed the crewel work in 1965 after taking private lessons from a woman in Petersham, MA. Mrs. Inett bequeathed the chair to her son and his wife after her death in 1972. The chair was donated by Dr. Richard O. Gifford to Tower Hill Botanic Garden in memory of his wife Elizabeth Murch Gifford.
Tower Hill Botanic Garden is not responsible for any additional shipping charges. Arrangements may be made for delivery at the item winner’s expense or item may be picked up free of charge at our facility in Boylston, Massachusetts.
