About Saky Sacks:

With a love for fashion and design Rupa started her career as a retail buyer for a major department store.  From there she quickly grew in to management roles for major apparel companies where she oversaw design, product development, merchandising and marketing for women’s and men’s businesses including children’s wear and promotional products.

With a portfolio covering fashion events around the globe, Rupa has travelled extensively internationally.  Her multitude of talents includes trend spotting, along with expertise covering brand management, product development, merchandising and design.

After a dynamic career in the fashion industry Rupa saw a niche for fashionable shopping bags. Unable to find a multi-purpose bag that was both functional and stylish, she decided to design her own. With the intent to create a tasteful and affordable collection of bags that would become an indispensable accessory for women everywhere, Saky Sacks was founded in 2009.

Rupa currently lives with her husband in Seattle where her focus is directed toward her business. Rupa’s design inspiration comes from her love of tribal and artisan textiles along with the exotic cultures she has enjoyed during her travels around the world.
